That shift is happening at the same time that fraud itself is becoming more AI-enabled.
The latest anti-fraud benchmarking from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and SAS shows that only 7% of organisations say they are more than moderately prepared to detect or prevent AI-fuelled fraud, while 77% of respondents report an increase in deepfake social engineering and 75% report growth in generative AI document forgery.
The same study found that 25% of organisations now use AI or machine learning in anti-fraud programmes, up from 18% in 2024.

Email traffic, messaging records, invoices, policy documents, procurement records, call notes, system logs and narrative reports can be organised, summarised and clustered early in the matter. Instead of spending weeks just to reach a preliminary view, teams can reach an informed starting point much sooner. That does not remove the need for investigator judgement. It changes where that judgement is applied. More time can be spent testing relevance, intent, motive, timing, and control failure, rather than manually searching for the obvious needle in a digital haystack.
2. The evidence universe now includes AI interactions themselves
